The Autumn Edit

I probably have said this before but I will say it again, Autumn is my favourite season.

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
– F. Scott Fitzgerald

I love the darker evenings (the mornings probably not so much…) getting the fire on, lighting the candles and snuggling below a cosy blanket whilst watching the latest series on Netflix. Bliss.

Autumn is a great time to invest a little in our homes as it’s inevitable that we will be spending more time indoors. I have picked some of my favourite pieces to make your home more cosy this season, I hope you love them too.

For the Fireside

Two things that we couldn’t be without during the cooler months, a large, sturdy log basket and a kindling bucket. These are both from Garden Trading they have a fab fireside range and all the pieces I have purchased from them in the past are excellent quality too.

Autumn Scents

I rarely burn candles during the Summer months but I make up for it at this time of the year! Scent is a personal thing but my go to favourites have to be ‘Autumn’ by the White Company (obvious choice lol). It has a lovely floral and fruity scent and sums up this time of year perfectly.

Cosy Toes-ies

One of the things I look forward to the most about Autumn is getting a new pair of slippers. I understand that this might make me sound like a right old granny but there’s nothing better! I have done my research and have found the cutest pair from Next, they look so cosy!

Snuggle In…

If you are from Ireland you may be familiar with Avoca. All of their gorgeous throws are made in their Mill in Co. Wicklow. We actually drove past it last week when we were on a short family break. I thought this cashmere blend throw would add a little luxury to those chiller evenings. I know its a little on the pricey side but this is a wish list after all!

Soul Food

I recently bought ‘The Roasting Tin‘ cookbook as I know I will be looking for something warm, comforting and easy to put together when I come in from work in the evening. To go with the cookbook may I suggest a nice roasting tin? Falcon enamelware has it covered!

Have a cosy Autumn everyone!

Much love,

Judy xo
